Summary

I’m the absolute last remaining single woman in the entire town of Bordeaux。
Okay, maybe not the very last。
Just the last one with all her teeth, natural hair color, and the ability to remember where I set my keys。

I decided years ago that I’m going to remain single until my dying day。
I’ll infuse a new, hip meaning into the term “old cat lady。”
I don’t need a man。
I’ve got my bulldog, my cats and some of the best friends in the world。
My cup’s not half-full—It’s overflowing。

My man-free life is going along fine until the day I walk into my new job as a part-time tutor to the daughter of the new doctor in town。 The sight of this man is making my skin tingle and my breath hitch, and something very much like butterflies are erupting in my stomach。
Butterflies!
I don’t do butterflies over a man。

My reaction doesn’t mean I need to change my stance on men。 After all, Grant’s a broody, stern, cantankerous man。 If I were going to start dating, it certainly wouldn’t be someone who obviously hasn’t smiled since he was forced to for school pictures。

But then his daughter walks in the room and his face lights up。
That smile。 Who knew swooning was a real thing?
Still, I’m not dating。 And that’s final。

Doctorshipped is a closed-door, small town romcom that will make you laugh out loud and give you all the feels。 You can expect kissing scenes that might melt your kindle, but there are no explicit scenes。

Okay, so I had a rollercoaster of emotions。 At first I didn't get why Jayme was so upset, but then I did。 What I loved about the whole plot it's that their reactions were so realistic。 You can have misunderstandings, but you go back & talk about it。👏🏻Jayme deserved to be loved the right way。 I was so here for watching Grant do all those small gestures。 He was super sweet🧁。 Watching him out of his comfort zone was precious 💞。This series has my heart! This is the first book I have read by this author and I loved it, it is part of a series but I don’t feel like I missed out by not reading the first few, I was still able to keep up and work out who everyone was。 Obviously I do recommend that you go grab the first few books of the series, that are available on Kindle Unlimited, that way you get to enjoy more of these great characters。Straight away I just loved Jayme, I thought this girl is my kind of girl! She is a bit all over the place but she knows what she’s doing and she’s brilliant at what she does。 She is a beautiful bubbly soul and has a heart of gold, she doesn’t judge anyone and gives everyone a chance。 Now, I’m not sure I can say the same about our Dr Grant, can you say GRUMPY??? This man has the grumpiness down to perfection, he’s definitely lucky that he is easy on the eye haha。 He is also lucky that he comes with the sweetest daughter ever, sweet Fiona is 11 years old going on 30, she has her own set of issues but takes them all in her stride。I loved the small town of Bordeaux, yes, everyone is definitely nosy but man they look out for one another。 They are a close knit community but also very welcoming to strangers coming on the scene。 I loved Jayme and Grant, they made each other so happy and Brought the best out on one another, they taught each other that romance is an actual thing。Loved Fiona so much, she was one beautiful girl and I adored the relationship she had with both her dad and her grandfather, and also how she was so welcoming to Fiona。This is a clean, closed door romance, there may not be any steamy sex, but the chemistry these two share more than makes up for that。Oh and I loved the ending, it was perfect。Brilliant read。 。。。more

So good!! I loved how Grant very grudgingly fell for Jayme。 They were the perfect opposites-attract couple, and having Fiona as the catalyst was adorable。 I was disappointed that Jayme suddenly lost her large vocabulary she'd had in the other books -it was such a great personality quirk! I missed it, as a fellow logophile, but I also thought it would have been fun with her interactions with Grant。 Anyway, there were so many great little things I enjoyed, like the miscommunications about Brooks, So good!! I guess I’ll need to go back and read all of them to get the backstory on everyone。 But you seriously can read it as a standalone with no problems! OBSESSED! OH MY HEART!! I have adored every book in the Getting Shipped series, but Doctorshipped is hands down my favourite of them all。 This is such a gorgeous read! A single-dad, grumpy/sunshine romance with two absolutely wonderful characters, and a love story that is swoony and emotional, and that completely stole my heart。 Truly, this series gets better and better- and I just can't get enough!Determined to remain single forever, Jayme’s man-free life goes out of the window when she becomes OBSESSED! His hand holding, intense looks, steamy kisses and sweet declarations are gorgeous, and it’s clear that the two of them share a connection。 They are simply meant to be - two pieces perfectly matched。 Their flirty, witty banter, their shared relationship doubts, their commitments to their careers and dreams, their need to be able to lean on another all align。 But even better, they find emotional safety and vulnerability in one another that is entirely unexpected - and so consuming。 And if that wasn’t enough, we have the most adorable little girl, Grant’s daughter Fiona。 Watching Grant love and care for her was wonderfully heart melting, and I just adored seeing her evolving relationship with Jayme。 This little girl is so special and so beautifully written, and their moments were the most sincere, cutest, endearing significant other-child relationship moments I’ve ever read。 Endearing, swoony, funny, sincere - and JUST SO FREAKING LOVABLE。 I never want this series to end。 The Getting Shipped books are all a delight - but this one was pitch perfect。 Effortlessly told and total romantic magic。 I could not love this story anymore! 。。。more

This was another great addition to it and it makes me even more excited for the next book! I loved so much about this story from the characters to the situations they ended up in! I loved getting to know Fiona, Grant, and Grant’s father。 They are such a tight-knit family and it was so great to see that kind of a dynamic with the physical distance between them due to Grant and Fiona moving。 I loved that it hadn’t dwindled and that his dad came to visit them in their new town。 I loved getting to know more about Jayme from her own perspective。 She is such a fun and quirky character that brought out the joy Grant wanted for Fiona and made Grant come out of his shell a bit。 Some of my favorite scenes/moments from this story included: Jayme making faces at Grant, the wedding, Grant talking with his dad, Fiona’s quest for a pet, the water fight, girl’s paint party night hosted by the three older ladies, Grant meeting Cooter, times the girls from the same friend group got together to hang out, Fiona’s first day of school (after the meltdown), a little league game, getting to see more of Ella Mae and what kind of person she is, pictures with Brooks, the grand gesture, the notes, and their first meeting(s)。Summary:Jayme is a self-proclaimed single for life woman and she likes it that way。 Sure, she is the last woman standing in her friend group and one of the last few single women in Bordeaux, Ohio, but that genuinely doesn’t bother her。 That is until she meets the new doctor in town and begins to tutor his daughter。 Jayme finds that her feelings towards having a romance of her own are no longer settled the way they always have been。 Instead they are jumbled and as confusing as Grant’s attitude changes。 How can a man who is so stern and no-nonsense have such a bubbly and loving daughter that can manage to make him smile?Grant moved to give Fiona and himself a new start away from their past。 Though some days he regrets having moved to such a small town where the townspeople are all up in your business, Grant finds that the good tends to outweigh the bad。 Not that all the good is for himself mind you, the things on his good list mainly have to do with his daughter Fiona…and a certain tutor that is worming her way into both of their hearts。 Jayme is a total opposite to Grant, but she is perfect at making this town a home for Fiona。 Her unexpected approach to life gave Grant pause when he first hired her, but Jayme is quick to prove that she’s got what it takes to help。 And the amount of time and care Jayme devotes to Fiona, as well as her quirky personality, is starting to drag Grant into feelings he believes he shouldn’t be having。 Could this move have been even better than Grant expected? 。。。more

What a fun story! The character growth was so well written- loved how Grant came in touch with his tender side- well started to open it up to Jayme。 How he didn’t change being a grump but could smile more。 How intense he is at all he cares about。 Jayme the fierce pixie- loved that she had such snark but it was still kind。 Liked her mature response to Grant’s inability to be vulnerable。 How she stands up for herself but without being mean。 Who doesn’t love a man who pursues his lady respectfully What a fun story! Especially one like Grant who anyone can tell loves his daughter so very much。 Grant and Fiona were definitely a big part of this book。 And a great part too。 Fiona made me laugh with all of her pets。 And Grant made me laugh with how grumpy he was。 These two are so Bordeaux is one of my favorite fictional towns ever。 After this book, it’s even more so。 I loved how the town comes together in this book to help out Jayme。 But there is so much more to this book than that。How can you not love a grump? You’d think, it’s a rom-com, no twist, right? Well, you’d be so wrong with this one。 There was a huge twist。 And you’re never going to guess it before you find it in the book。 At least I didn’t。I loved seeing all of my favorite characters from Bordeaux in this one again。 All of Jayme’s girlfriends and their guys are in there。 It’s always fun to see what they’re up to。 You could read this one as a stand alone book。 But you’ll love it so much more if you read the other first。I loved every bit of this one。 You need to read it!I was sent an e-copy of Doctorshipped as a gift from the author。 All opinions are my own。 。。。more

This book felt like a mix of Everwood, Gilmore Girls, Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, and a few other cutesy romcoms all rolled into one! Having only read the first book in the series, I have only seen Jayme at her lowest point with her friends rallying to cheer her up。 Jumping forward to now, I could see how after seeing all of her other friends find guys, get married, and start families that she might be inclined to remain single indefinitely。 That is until。。。Dr。 Hunky McDreamBoat strolls i This book felt like a mix of Everwood, Gilmore Girls, Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, and a few other cutesy romcoms all rolled into one! Having only read the first book in the series, I have only seen Jayme at her lowest point with her friends rallying to cheer her up。 Jumping forward to now, I could see how after seeing all of her other friends find guys, get married, and start families that she might be inclined to remain single indefinitely。 That is until。。。Dr。 Hunky McDreamBoat strolls into town with his adorable daughter, at which time Jayme's bright and happy personality clashes with Grant's total grump persona。 I enjoyed their back and forths (very Luke and Lorelei), and the fact that they were both set on remaining single set us up for some angsty pining。 Jayme's relationship with Fee was perfect and felt like Rory and Lorelei more than a traditional mom and daughter。 The way they worked together to help with Fiona's school was wonderful and showcased Jayme's patience and ability to relate to others。The gal group was so fun, lighthearted, and full of love! In many ways, they reminded me of my own friends, and I feel like I could easily spend an evening jamming out to T-Swizzle with them while we eat ice cream and chat。 The thing that really took this one down a notch for me was the big conflict around the 80% mark。 For one thing, I did not see it coming, which is totally fine and isn't my beef with it。 The writing leading up to that scene really keeps you in the dark and lets that be a big AHA moment for you。 My issue is with how Jayme handles it all。 It was overexaggerated and even though Jayme had been through some turbulent relationship issues in the past, she acted very childish when faced with said conflict。 She didn't ask questions, she didn't stop to talk or try to reason, she just literally dropped everything and ran。 Then when Grant did talk to her, she didn't give him grace or try and understand why he might have skirted around the truth。 Maybe I'm reading too much into it。 It set up the big grand gesture ending and the little things leading up to it, but I just wasn't jiving with how the whole situation played out。 The ending grand gesture would play out really well in a movie/TV show, and I think in that format it would be a bit more impactful to the story。 It comes across okay on the page, but being able to see and hear it would amp it up to where it truly deserves to be。 The epilogue was lovely, and I love so much that Jayme was able to keep inspiring those around her! 。。。more

Oh wow! This book was so much fun! Grant’s daughter, Fiona was a hoot! Grant was definitely Mr。 Grumpy, but I loved his thoughts on life。 And then his interactions with sunshiny Jayme were priceless。 I laughed so much during some parts of this book that I got weird looks from the family。 I loved that the stern, no-nonsense doctor was very human and lovable with his daughter。 Then the cold heart started melting a little bit around Jayme, and we caught glimpses of a sweet man who could get quite p Oh wow! When trouble came around, I was so sad for both of them, because it was obvious that they were both hurting。 The townspeople became quite involved, as well, making for some really funny times。 This was a great book, and I can't wait to read the next one。 。。。more

The way Jayme and Grant meet is hilarious and so cute。 I loved the immediate attraction between the two。 Jayme is such sunshine it pulls it out of Grant too and it's just so beautiful to see。 I also absolutely love the squirrel interaction with Cooter。 I couldn't breathe I was laughing so hard。I'm not a huge fan of the act three break up, but oh man was the making up so worth it。This book is so full of laughs and great messages and it should definitely be on everyone's TBR。 Thank you to Savannah The way Jayme and Grant meet is hilarious and so cute。 I loved the immediate attraction between the two。 Jayme is such sunshine it pulls it out of Grant too and it's just so beautiful to see。 I also absolutely love the squirrel interaction with Cooter。 I couldn't breathe I was laughing so hard。I'm not a huge fan of the act three break up, but oh man was the making up so worth it。This book is so full of laughs and great messages and it should definitely be on everyone's TBR。 Thank you to Savannah Scott for an eARC of this book, all opinions expressed are my own。 。。。more

For any fans who are concerned Jayme won't stay true to character, rest assured that's not the case。 The romance in this book was so adorable and honestly, the spice levels really do increase every book, which is very exciting for me 😉 (but rest assured, Scott stays true to her clean romance status)。 I really also loved how we got to see almost every aspect of Jayme's personality through her jobs, troubles with social media and tutoring。 On the note of tutoring, I need to bring up Fiona who was so sweet and a great addition to the main couple's story arc。 Overall, I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a good, sweet romance and doesn't mind when the story moves quite fast。 Also, to anyone who appreciates a good ol', grumpy love interest - and really, doesn't the fact that I gobbled this up in 3 days say it all? 。。。more

I feel like this series gets better and better with each book! Grant and Jayme’s story was not only heartwarming, but incredibly realistic。 This was a story about cynics finding romance despite committing to a life of singledom。 Jayme has been hurt before and has decided to completely swear off relationships, however, seeing her friends all happy and coupled up has sparked a longing inside her she ping thought dormant。 Grant is a small town doctor who is just trying to do his job and do what’s b I feel like this series gets better and better with each book! The chemistry! The banter! The OPPOSITION! Jayme and Grant were the absolute BEST of grumpy/sunshine, and I was so here for it!I continue to get “Hart of Dixie” vibes from this series and the town of Bordeaux and I love it! I love the quirky little small town that author has created, and I love that we still get to see what going on in characters’ from previous books lives in all future books。 I will say that sometimes Bordeaux crosses the line from quirky into over the top and just plain weird, but the author has done such a good job establishing the setting and characters that it doesn’t always bother me。All in all, this was another low angst, sweet story in this series and I can’t wait for more!!I was given and ARC by the author。 All opinions are my own。 。。。more
